The tournament was played round robin with 4 points for a win / 2 for a draw and 1 for a loss. All games lasted 15 minutes with no half time for all age groups.
Around150 Phuket youth players competed in the tournament, which was free of charge for entrees.
It was the 1st of PSS CSR project and proved to be a huge success with a high standard of football on display, said PSS Head Coach Martin Hill.
He was very pleased that local teams had a chance to show off their good football skills. Every player and coach were very impressed with the venue and the tournament itself.
“I'm very proud to be able to give something back to the football community of Phuket!” he exclaimed.
The Manager from Rawai Juniors FC, Ian McDonald was enthusiastic after his club took the U10 trophy.
"A fantastic day. A fabulous event very well organised and a joy to be at. 30 very happy kids will remember the day for life as I'm sure all the other teams will too. Without doubt the best venue we have been to. Dreams came true for these kids thank you from all at Rawai Juniors FC and the Rawai community!”
PSS have upcoming Xmas and New Years Camps (Full and Half Days) and have their academy try outs on December 5. Any players aged between 6 - 14 are welcome to join the tryouts free of charge at Thanyapura.
