“The Emerald Chariots” of Lampang, a team that plays in the Regional League AIS Division 2 North Zone, played tough football with standout players Sanya Pwongjan, Arsal Pengbaanrai and Akkaradet Sathanthung,

Lampang ran full-speed right after the kickoff and almost scored when Janenarong Wongnoy passed to a wide open Worayut Klomnak, who missed wide. But the Emerald Chariots would strike two minutes later as Janenarong broke away and put Lampang up 1-0 in the first fifteen minutes.

In the second half, Phuket FC displayed better skills but were unable to find the back of the net. Then, in the 88th minutes, Lampang would score once again for a 2-0 final score.

Phuket FC fielded their usual first-team squad for the first half but played several younger players later in the match including Saharat Pongsuwan (No. 34), Tawawat Bumrungthin (No. 35) and Chayakorn Nokkaew (No. 13).

The loss means Phuket FC are eliminated from the 2015 Toyota League Cup while Lampang moves one to the second round.

Despite the elmination, the Ronins remain in the hunt for the Thai FA Cup, the second round of which is set to be played on June 24 against Assumption United in Nonthaburi.

The next Phuket FC match, a Yamaha League-1 clash, takes place this Wednesday (April 22) against Samut Songkhram FC at 7pm in Surakul Stadium.
