Lt Yothin Chanapai of the Thalang Police received a call at 9:30pm yesterday where it said that an unidentified man was lying seriously injured and unconscious on the Baan Khao Lan-Kwan Tatan road. It was reported that the man had been assaulted by two men on motorbike.
Police arrived with Kusoldhram rescue workers at the road located about three kilometres from the Khao Lan intersection, Moo 2, Srisoonthorn to find the unconscious man lying face up on the road with a head injury.
Lt Yothin said, “The man had a large laceration on his head, and near by we discovered a 3 inche knife. Not far from the injured man was a Honda motorbike lying on the side of the road.
“After receiving first aid treatment at the scene the victim was taken to Thalang Hospital,” he said.
“According to witnesses, while they were travelling along the road they saw two men park their motorbike before attacking the victim until he fell unconscious. Witnesses turned their headlights to try to see the two men as they sped away on their motorbike towards Baan Kwan Tatan.
“ We believe the victim had an altercation with his attackers elsewhere and they followed him to this area. They hit his head with a hard object first then attacked him. However, we are investigating the incident and will find the two suspects and bring them in to face the law,” he added.
