Scoring for the Andaman Pearl back to back late in the first half were Jackson Santos and Pratchaya Simanta in the 18th and 19th minutes, while Samut Prakarn’s Ulit Rotnakan scored his side’s only goal halfway into the second half on 32 minutes.
A new Futsal Thailand turn-out record was set this past weekend with Suratthani’s match with CAT FC; it was standing room only with a total of 4,600 fans packed the stadium in Surat Thani to enjoy the eight goal thriller (see result below).
The previous FTPL crowd record was held by Phuket when they hosted Chonburi Blue Wave last June in front of 3,476 fans.
And, now the only other team to also have six points is 7-time reigning champs, Chonburi, who Phuket will host in their next match on April 18 at Saphan Hin Sports Centre.
Even though a large crowd is expected like last year's 1-2 showdown, bringing the record back to Phuket is not likely since the maximum capacity of the centre is only 4,000 seats.
