SURAT THANI: A reporter who worked for the Phuket Daily News and Siengtai newspaper died in a car crash on Tuesday night (May 19) in Surat Thani.

The accident took place at 9:50 pm on the on Baan Hoyrein bridge on Highway 44, in Saptawee subdistrict.
Police and rescue workers arrived where to find Amnoy Kupkum’s Toyota Camry jammed into the back of an 18-wheel truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was taken in for questioning. No charges have been laid so far.
