PHUKET: The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM-Phuket) will hold a tsunami evacuation drill and emergency-response drill in Patong on Tuesday morning (June 9).

The tsunami drill will begin in Patong at 10am.
The exercise will begin at 10am, with the tsunami warning siren and evacuation notices being played from the towers along the beachfront.
The simulation will affect Soi Bangla, and Phuket Governor Nisit Jansomwong will present to observe the simulation.
Messages played through the warning towers will announce when the exercise is over.
