Lt Thapanee Warinsaat of the Wichit Police was alerted to the robbery, at the Phanason City residential estate on Thepanusorn Rd in Wichit, at 4:30pm.
The owner of the home Napaporn Chunkin, 36, told police that she was not at home when her boyfriend returned to find their the house, which is also used as a home-office for insurance sales, ransacked.
“Miss Napaporn said all their belongings were scattered everywhere throughout the house. The door of the office on the ground floor was damaged and the the nursery room and bedroom had both been ransacked,” Lt Thapanee explained.
“The thief, or thieves, got away with three designer watches, a pair of earrings and a pendant inlaid with garnet, among other items. The total cost of stolen items is estimated to be over B500,000,” he said.
The burglar/s broke into their home via the front door and forced the side door into the office open, Lt Thapanee explained.
“We learned that at the entrance to the estate has CCTV, but the camera was not working properly so it could not record anything,” he said.
“We are currently investigating the incident and hope to find the suspect/s soon. Officers are collecting fingerprints at the scene. Hopefully we’ll find a match,” Lt Thapanee concluded.
