Rescue workers were called to the Chutima Apartment building on Lat Prachanusorn Rd in Patong at about 3am. They found the 47-year-old Adin Medzic in critical condition. Despite efforts to revive him, he died on the way to hospital.
Mr Medzic was part-owner of the True Blue Bar in Patong.
His body is at Patong Hospital awaiting instructions from his family.
