Pol Maj-Gen Pornchai Sutheerakhun, director of the Forensic Science Institute of the Police Hospital, said yesterday (January 25) that initial results of the autopsy of Ms Annesley showed that there were no traces whatsoever that she was assaulted and no traces of semen were detected in her body.

However, he said that the autopsy result could not determine the actual cause of the victim’s death at this moment as police would have to wait for the result of tests for toxic substance in her body.

Ms Christina became the third British backpacker died on the popular resort island. Two other British tourists, Ms Hannah Witheridge and David Miller, were killed on Koh Tao last year. Two myanmar migrant workers are now being tried for the murder of the two Britons.
