The public-awareness campaign to encourage people to quit smoking – or better still, not even start the habit – includes events to be held at the Coliseum cineplex, near the Robinson Department Store in Phuket Town, from 10am-6pm on May 29-30.
Visitors can get a free health checkup, and there will be a variety of children’s activities, including a drawing competition.
Other free entertainment to mark the occasion include live concerts, dance performances and comedy shows.
Phuket Governor Nisit Jansomwong will officiate the opening of the event at 3pm on May 29.
