Krabi Police Superintendent Col Sompong Thipaphakul confirmed to The Phuket News that 21-year-old Jordan Jacobs was found this afternoon on the island.

Mr Jacobs was expected to take a flight back home to the UK yesterday but did not make the flight. He has been travelling around Asia since October.

A Facebook post by Mr Jacobs’ sister Emily on Tuesday (Dec 15) stated that he was last seen at a restaurant on Koh Phi Phi Don where he borrowed another traveller’s phone to call home. The owner of the restaurant confirmed he was there.

The post goes on to state that the family knew he left Pak Up Hostel in Krabi to head to Koh Phi Phi Don leaving behind his other backpacker friends. He had left with a local man that he met at the launderette near to the hostel.

The man offered to take him to the island for free. It was that evening when he called his parents. He was upset. His parents hadn't spoken to him since.
