Tha Chatchai police arrested Mai Khao resident, Suthichai Kongsamuth, 34, at around 10pm. Police also seized a Toyota van that he used to transport the drugs, as well as his mobile phone.
After stopping the Toyota, Pol. L/C Veeraporn Decharoon and Thalang officials searched the vehicle and found two blue packages wrapped in tape hidden next to the passenger seat, which had the drugs inside.
Suthichai was taken to Tha Chatchai Police Station where he told police that his Nakorn Sri Thammarat inmate, Banglee, paid him to sell the drugs in Phuket for B250 per pill.
“Banglee contacted me by phone and told me to pick up the drugs on Phang Nga-Phuket Rd near Baankalai School in Takhua Thung,” he told police.
Suthichai was charged with Category 1 with intent to sell.
