Deputy Police Chief Lt Col Weerayuth Sithirattanakul from Thalang led a team of officers to raid a home in Moo 1 Srisoonthorn at 6:45am yesterday and arrested Anusit Kurihara who had in his possession a .22 pen gun, homemade zip gun (Thai pradit), one M16 bullet, two shot gun shells, two .45 bullets, 192.06 grams of marijuana and a bamboo bong.
Lt Col Weerayuth said, “The arrest of Anusit came after we received a tip-off from undercover officers that he had been selling marijuana to local teenagers. After carrying out surveillance on him we obtained an warrant and carried out the raid where we discovered the marijuana, guns and bullets in his bedroom.”
Anusit admitted to police that all the seized items belonged to him so he was taken to Thalang Police Station where he is to be charged with possession of a Category 5 drug with intent to sell and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
