At 11:30am, Thungtgong police were called to the scene to investigate the accident where they found a Toyota car laying on its side.
The motorbike driver, Nownanong Pongjareon, 36, was sent to Vachira Phuket Hospital with a broken leg.
According to nearby witnesses, Samita Khawkitpaisan, 57, the driver of the white Toyota, slammed into the back of the motorbike at the traffic lights, which caused the car to flip on its side.
Police questioned Ms Samita at the scene.
