The campaign aims to promote and enhance the MICE industry development in Thailand by rolling out monthly tradeshows in Thailand’s targeted five MICE cities; Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Pattaya, and Phuket, over a period of five consecutive months which started in late March this year in Bangkok.
A leading MICE venue in each city was selected to host a full-day trade show where sellers and buyers in Thailand’s domestic MICE industry will meet. Laguna Phuket was the chosen host venue for the tradeshow in Phuket, the last city in the campaign’s first ‘edition’.
As the TCEB points out on its website, “As one of the country’s economic hubs, Phuket has everything necessary for outstanding business events including over 600 hotels in all budget ranges; an efficient international airport that welcomes direct flights from all over the globe; and a dazzling array of venues, activities, and attractions to ensure fun and fulfilling exhibitions, conventions, and team-building functions.”
Phuket has become one of Thailand’s most celebrated MICE cities, and Laguna Phuket was selected as the host venue because of its MICE capacity, demonstrated over the past years by hosting large events such as the Amway China conference in 2012 and, in 2013, the large-scale NuSkin meeting.

Laguna’s hotels offer a variety of MICE facilities, while the central Latitude venue is capable of hosting a wide variety of meetings and incentive programmes, conferences, gala dinners and other events in a spectacular waterside setting.
Latitude, a 1,000-square-metre marquee, is a fully air-conditioned stand-alone facility capable of accommodating up to 1,000 guests theatre style, 800 for cocktails, or 600 for a banquet.
