Krabi Governor Songpol Sawastham revealed that the move is part of the “Krabi: The City of Beauty and Clean Water” campaign, one of the twelve provincial agendas for 2015-2016.
“Provincial authorities in Krabi are called to help with the removal of worn-out billboards. They are from Krabi’s Highways District Office, the Department of Rural Roads, local administrative organisations, community volunteers, police and military personnel,” Mr.Songpol said.
The operation will take place on six specific days in different locations across the province. Billboards located from the Krabi Technical College Intersection to Krabi-Khao Thong Road were cleared on yesterday (May 20). The rest of the are scheduled to be cleared on May 21, 25, 26, 27, and 29.
The Governor has also called on the public to render cooperation in carrying out the new regulation to success.
