Taisumov (22-5) put away Polish lightweight Marcin Bandel (13-3) in just over a minute of the first round with a barrage of punches.

Similarly, Tukhugov (17-3) took care of American featherweight Ernest Chavez (7-2) after several strikes to the head and body.

Both men – natives of Grozny, Chechnya – have based their fight camps at Tiger Muay Thai in Chalong for the past two years and credited the camp's Head MMA Coach Roger Huerta in post-fight interviews.

In Oklahoma, Tiger Muay Thai fight team member Joe Ray (12-4) reached the semi-finals of a one night, eight-man MMA tournament at BattleGround MMA 5. After defeating UFC veteran Luigi Fioravanti (24-12) in the first round with a barrage of knees and punches, Ray lost a split decision to eventual tournament winner Brock Larson (39-9).

Elsewhere, Muay Thai specialist Valentina Shevchenko successfully defended her 60kg title in KunlunFight 11 in Macau on last Sunday (October 5). The Peruvian-Kyrgyzstani fighter took a decision victory over French veteran Ablavi Bassinah.
