During the competition children from all year groups were able to show their poetry skills, which they used throughout the week. The poems presented ranged from funny, sad and interesting, to motivating and inspiring. There was even a ‘mathematical’ poem consisting of rhyming numbers.
The jury judged the poems on their content, stage presence and performance. By the end of the competition the winning houses were announced which meant for Einstein a first place, Shakespeare 2nd place and Churchill 3rd place.
There was story telling in the KIS Library by class teachers during lunch times.
KIS values literacy in all as pects and motivates its students through fun and exciting activities to engage children in the world of letters, words, stories and books.
