PHUKET: Samak Luedwonghad of the Phuket Highways Office has confirmed that the southbound lane of Chalermprakiet Rd, in front of Tesco Lotus Extra at the Sam Kong intersection, should reopen to traffic after 9pm tonight (January 31)

The lanes were closed to traffic yesterday, and traffic was detoured into the parking lot of Tesco Lotus Extra shopping centre, causing traffic delays of up to an hour.
"We're fixing the road surface now, and apologize for any inconveniences this is causing. As soon as we finish the repairs, which should be around 9pm, the lane will be open to traffic," Mr Samak said.
