Police Lance Corporal Nattachai Huahin died instatly after crashing his motorbike into a path on a dead-end road in Rawai.

Chalong Police received a call at 12:45am requesting they investigate a motorbike crash on Wiset Rd in Rawai. The driver of the bike was already dead at the time of the call.

Lieutenant Chonlada Chokdeesrichan arrived at scene with Ruamjai Rescue Foundation to find a damaged Honda CBR400 lying near the footpath. Close by was the body of Police Lance Corporal Nattachai Huahin who had suffered severe head injuries and broken neck. A broken helmet found at the scene.

Lt Chonlada said, “We learned that L/C Nattachai was supposed to meet with friends for dinner at a restaurant in Chalong and was riding alone to meet them. The restaurant in Chalong was closed so they all drove to Rawai to find a place to eat.

“Witnesses said they saw L/C Nattachai come at high-speed and crash into the footpath, the Honda then plowed into four parked motorbikes.”

“We believe that L/C Nattachai was new to the area and did not know the street well as where he crashed is a dead-end road. When he came down the road at high-speed he lost control of his bike and crashed.”

The body is currently at Vachira Hospital waiting for L/C Nattachai’s family from Trang arrive to collect it so they carry out his funeral.
