PHUKET: The Thai Meteorological Department (MET) has issued a weather alert for Phuket, the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, warning of waves of up to three meters.

According to the alert from today, the MET is expecting thundershowers in 60 per cent of the area as a result of the Southwesterly Monsoon winds.
The alert also advises all sea vessels to proceed with extreme caution and to continuously monitor the weather.
