According to the government, its satellite teacher programme has reached more than 15,000 schools across the country, giving children in remote areas more educational opportunities.
The latest survey indicates that assessment scores of primary and secondary students in most schools have markedly improved.
The government’s policy aimed at promoting vocational education also shows signs of success. The number of vocational school applicants has jumped by 26 per cent this year, while those studying for high vocational certificates has risen by 8.48 per cent.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has instructed related agencies to expedite their educational reform, so that the country can achieve a quality and sustainable educational system.
