The match, to be played at the 4,000 seat Saphan Hin Sports Centre, will kick off at 7pm.
Jackson (number 5), who is currently joint-fifth in the league race for Golden Boot with 8 goals to his credit, scored the last-minute winning goal last Saturday (May 30) in the club’s 3-2 victory over Bangkok FC.
Phuket’s other two goals in that match came from Chonlathon Niamphai (11) and Kittipong Sonsuwan (17).
“The last home match against Bangkok was a great game where we learned that seizing opportunities can come out with positive results,” the Brazilian who hails from the city of Fortaleza told The Phuket News.
“The match had a great importance for the moment we are going through in the season. We had to win and we did.
“The next match at home against Nonthanburi will be very important as well, because at the moment we can not lose points at home to anyone.
“We have to win and take points, at home and away. All games will have importance this season … We need a good sequence of victories to leave us in a good position in the table,” he said.
The Pearl have been fighting hard for good position in the 14-club Futsal Thailand Premier League (FTPL) 2015 table, but matching if not bettering last year’s finish is proving difficult.
Although the Pearl had a strong start this season, highlighted by their historic draw against reigning champs Chonburi Blue Wave in April, the team went on to suffer narrow defeats to strong clubs such as Thai Port, Siam Navy and league newcomers, Nakhon Ratchasima.
Last season the Andaman Pearl finished 4th place, one spot better than their previous and inaugural year in the kingdom’s elite futsal league.
At the time this paper went to press, Phuket were sitting in 6th place of the FTPL, on the back of their narrow defeat of 4th place Bangkok FC last Saturday.
But that ranking may well have changed by now; last Wednesday (June 3) the Pearl were on the road to take on a strong Si Pathum Si Saket.
