According to reports filed by Maj Ritthichai reported, the week began with a raid at a motorbike repair shop and adjoining accommodation in Kathu on Tuesday (May 16), where officers arrested six people on drugs-related charges at 5:15pm.

The raid followed a tip-off, Maj Ritthichai noted.

Anuwat “Boy” Thipmanee, 36, from Phuket, was found possession of 1.42 grams of crystal meth (ya ice) and four pills of methamphetamine (ya bah).

Chalermchart “Mhee” Kerdthong, 33, from Phuket, was found in possession of 3.83g of marijuana.

Ariyaphong “King” Tauroab, 32, from Phuket. He was seized with seized 370g of ya ice and an automatic pistol with 57 bullets.

Somnuek “Tu” Saejiw, 35, from Phuket, was found in possession of 420mg of ya ice, 2.5 pills of ya bah and an automatic 9mm pistol loaded with six bullets in the magazine.

While officers were searching the premises, Boonyarat “Rat” Khwankaew, 41, from Phuket, and Sudarat “Dao” Pathan, 27, from Phang Nga, arrived.

Police raided the home in Kathu where Boonyarat and Sudarat live the next day and found Sudarat in possession of 390mg of ya ice and Boonyarat in possession of 750mg of ya ice, six pills of ya bah and a fully loaded six-shooter revolver.

All six suspects were all taken to Kathu Police Station and charged as follows:

  • Anuwat – possession Catergory 1 drug with intent to sell
  • Chalermchart – possession Cat 5 drug (marijuana)
  • Ariyaphong – possession Cat 1 drug; illegal possession of a firearm
  • Sudarat – possession Cat 1 drug
  • Somnuek – possession Cat 1 drug; illegal possession of a firearm
  • Boonyarat – possession Cat 1 drug with intent to sell, illegal possession of a firearm

Then on Wednesday (May 17), after another tip-off, the team arrested Anong “Jeab” Sae-Eu, 30, from Phuket at the main Super Cheap store on Thepkrasattri Rd in Rassada at 7pm.

She was found with an immaculately home-made handgun in the car park. Unlike the well-known home-made “Thai Pradit” guns, which usually fire shotgun cartridges, the gun Anong was carrying was a polished revolver, hand logo embossed on the handgrip and seemed to have “Smith & Wesson” emblazoned on the barrel.

Police took her to Phuket City Police Station, where she was charged with illegal possession of a firearm and carrying a firearm in public without a permit.

The team wrapped up their week of arrests yesterday (May 18) after yet another tip-off, taking into custody Theepakorn “Tor” Ngamsiri, 21, from Nakhon Sri Thammarat, at a house in Thalang at 2pm after a raid there found him in possession of 201.1g of ya ice and 2,000 ya bah bills.

Police also seized a Honda Wave motorbike found at the house. The motorbike had previously been reported to Phuket City Police as stolen.

The raid to arrest Theepakorn came after police were tipped-off that he received drugs from a female dealer who they named only as “Ms Joy”, who sent drugs to his house by Kerry Express, Maj Ritthichai reported.

The normal Phuket days to catch a few street drugs sellers!
Drugs, guns, stolen motorbike.
Not bad days.
Up to next week. :-)

How about the Hi-So suppliers?, The people high up in the supply lines?
The influentials, the producers, the officials who allow all this stuff reaching the island of Phuket?
