The incident was reported at around 6:30am by the caretaker of the hotel, located Rat-U-Thit 200 Pi Rd. The caretaker alerted Patong Police after finding the man unresponsive in the water.
Officers arrived at the scene to find the body of the man, believed to have drowned. Nearby, police found a bottle of Hong Thong liquor, along with the man’s clothes and personal belongings.
There were no visible signs of struggle or damage to property, or any documents to identify the man.
The cause of death has not yet been confirmed and is pending further investigation.
