Witnesses have stated that the fire broke out after a transformer exploded and set fire to an adjacent building.
“There were at least two big bangs. The transformer was blown right off its perch,” witnesses said.

PHUKET: Firefighters are currently trying to bring under control a fire at a building in the San Pao Courtyard on Patak Rd, about 300m west of Chalong Circle which started at about 11:30am.
