Nominations opened for submission on July 10 and will continue to be accepted through to close of business on September18.

The Entrepreneur Now Awards is expanding on the foundation of Expat Entrepreneur Awards 2014, at which the companies established in Thailand by the expatriate community were recognized for their creativity, ingenuity, excellence and proven success.

Heralding Thailand’s receptiveness to AEC, a variety of Thai and foreign-owned businesses will receive recognition at the Entrepreneur Now Awards in the following tentative categories:

  • products and services established less than two years,
  • outstanding male and female entrepreneur,
  • most entrepreneurial team,
  • the eco-entrepreneur,
  • micro enterprise (>5),
  • SME,
  • outstanding ASEAN business,
  • the most creative,
  • industrial,
  • social enterprise,
  • outstanding woman or women-owned business, and
  • student business plans.

The working committee will finalize the categories for nominations.

“We are creating partnerships and widening the reach to recognize entrepreneurs from more countries and industries. We are planning to work in conjunction with the business chambers in Thailand and business groups that support this cause,” said a release issued to The Phuket News.

“We also welcome the evolution of Asean with this awards project and we are keen to demonstrate Thailand’s readiness in doing business in the region.

“For the awards, our objective is to promote entrepreneurial endeavours, attract investors to Thailand and the Asean region, and revitalize the Thai economy and the SME sector.”
