Dusit rolls out its second bowling cup for charity

PHUKET: Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket rolled out its second charitable bowling tournament on Saturday (July 28) at CS Bowling, Big C Supermarket, Phuket. The successful social networking event linked up travel industry colleagues and local Phuket residents.

Proceeds from the fundraiser went towards the ongoing ‘Dusit Smiles – Operation Smile Thailand’ programme that raises funds for a charity which provides reconstructive surgery for children born with facial deformities, such as cleft lip and cleft palate.

 

Each year, Dusit International organises the surgery and treatment for disadvantaged children around Thailand (see more information here).

 

Peter Komposch, General Manager of Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, presented The Governor’s Cup to the winners at an awards ceremony. The winning team from Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket scored a total of 1,460 points.

 

The second placed team from Bangkok Hospital Phuket scored 1,400 points. The Laguna Holiday Club came in the third place.

 

In the men’s league, the winner was Mr. Karan Nomahama from Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket with the highest score of 510; in the women’s leagues, Ms Jintana from Angsana Laguna Phuket triumphed with a high score of 460 points.
