At 10:25am Thalang police were called to a three vehicle accident on the southbound lane of Thepkasattri Rd in front of the PTT petrol station in Baan Muang Mai.

Upon arrival, police found a Toyota smashed into an electricity pylon with its driver, Sarawut Samlee, 25, still inside. Mr Sarawut had only suffered minor injuries but was taken to hospital as a precaution..

Not far away was an Isuzu pick-up truck with damaged rear-end. Its driver, Kritsana Teerasawat, 40, had escaped without an injury.

100 metres down the road was a slightly damaged Yamaha Fino lying in the road. The motorbike driver, Phurida Kitmoh, and her passenger, 15-year-old, Nadia Kitmoh, had both suffered minor injuries and after receiving first aid treatment were taken to Thalang Hospital for further checks.

After questioned those involved, police learned that Mr Sarawut was driving at high speed when he lost control of his vehicle and and crashed into the back of the Isuzu pick-up. The Toyota then spun out of control and hit the motorbike before crashing into the pylon.

Thalang policè•s Lt Wichoti Meepop said that the road was wet at the time of the accident and this may have had some impact on the accident. However, Mr Sarawut and Mr Kritsada will be questioned further before any charges are made.
