According to the NBTC Secretary-General Thakorn Tantasit, the NBTC office has prepared to distribute digital TV coupons to more households in provinces where the service coverage of digital television has reached more than 80 percent of the area.
The digital TV coupons are cash vouchers where eligible holders can redeem it as discounts for the set top box required to access the digital TV broadcast. The next lot of coupons distribution, which is the fourth and consists of 63,825 coupons, will be distributed to people in Phuket, Buriram, Surin, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Trang province on 28 January 2015.
The redemption record for the digital TV coupon since the beginning of the campaign in October 2014 is at 2 million households.
