At 7am yesterday, Karon police received a call from Patong Hospital stating that a Chinese man who had fallen from a hotel in Karon had died shortly after arrival at the hospital.
Police have stated that the man, whose name has been withheld until his family has been notify, had been drinking with friends on the beach until 11pm on Sunday (April 26).
He left the beach with his wife and they returned to their fifth floor room at around 1am on Monday.
At 3am a hotel security guard found the man on the ground covered in blood.
Police believe that the man fell from the building but will investigate further to find out the true cause of death.
