The images were take from cameras opposite the Outdoor restaurant, close to the intersection of the main road through Kata and Kokthanod Rd.
Although enhanced by police technicians, the images are too blurry to show either the men's faces or the number of the bike they were riding.
However, the times when they passed the cameras coincide with the time that Mrs Smith died. The two head in towards Kata Noi, around a kilometre away, at 10:08 pm and then return just under six minutes later.
Police were reticent last night about details of their investigation, but said they were "70 per cent sure" they knew the identities of at least one of the men.
