Thalang police were notified of the incident sometime after 2:30pm, when the body was reportedly discovered by an 11-year-old boy.
Alerted by neighbors, officers and rescue workers arrived to the scene in Pa Khlok's Moo 1, where they found the body of the woman, who appeared to have sustained multiple stab wounds on her stomach, and who was already starting to harden, her blood dry, police said.
The woman's son reported having last seen his mom, named as 48-year-old Ubon Romporee, when he left the house this morning at around 8:30 a.m. A bracelet, necklace and ring belonging to the woman were reported as missing.
