Arsenal
Petr Cech moved across London from Chelsea toArsenal when the Gunners announced he had agreed to join them on a "long-term contract for an undisclosed fee" from the Premier League champions.
The 33-year-old Czech international goalkeeper made over 400 appearances during 11 years at Stamford Bridge after joining from French club Rennes.
Cech, however, has recently found himself playing understudy to Belgian-shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois and made just 15 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea last season.
Chelsea
Premier League champions Chelsea have signed Bosnian international goalkeeper Asmir Begovic from Stoke City.
Begovic, 28, has agreed a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea paying Stoke an undisclosed fee to make the goalkeeper their second major signing of the summer.
British press reports put the fee at £8 million .
"I am very happy to be joining Chelsea FC. After speaking at length to the manager, I feel like I can develop here and be an important part of this team," Begovic told Chelsea's official website.
His arrival in west London follows the signing of Colombian striker Radamel Falcao on a season-long loan from Monaco, and the giant shot-stopper will give Thibaut Courtois competition for places between the posts after Petr Cech was sold to Arsenal.
Crystal Palace
France midfielder Yohan Cabaye is on his way back to the Premier League after leaving Paris Saint-Germain to join Crystal Palace for what the London club described as "a club record fee".
Cabaye has signed a three-year deal at Selhurst Park where, subject to receiving international clearance, he will once again team up with manager Alan Pardew, under whom he played at Newcastle United during his previous stint in England.
Palace, who finished 10th in the Premier League last season, reported the transfer fee as undisclosed but the BBC said they had paid £10 million (13.9m euros, $15.5m) possibly rising to £13 million with add-ons.
"I wanted to come and play for Palace because there are some really strong players here," he told the club's official website.
Liverpool
Nathaniel Clyne has become the latest pre-season arrival at Anfield after Liverpool confirmed they had signed the England defender from Premier League rivals Southampton.
A Liverpool statement said the full-back had "penned a long-term contract with the Reds". No fee was disclosed.
However, British media outlets reported that Clyne had signed a five-year deal worth £10 million ($16 million, 14 million euros) up front, with add-ons for the 24-year-old set to cost Liverpool a further £2 million.
Clyne is the sixth player to join Liverpool this pre-season following Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan, Charlton defender Joe Gomez, Manchester City midfielder James Milner, Burnley striker Danny Ings and Hoffenheim forward Roberto Firmino.
Manchester City
Raheem Sterling became the most expensive English footballer in history when he signed for Manchester City from Liverpool on a five-year contract, the England forward's new club announced on Tuesday (July 14).
The 20-year-old completed his move to the 2014 Premier League champions after passing a medical in a deal worth an initial £44million but could rise to £49 million.
"It's a good feeling and this is really happy time for me and my family," Sterling told City's official website late Tuesday.
City manager Manuel Pellegrini rated his marquee signing as "one of the best attacking players in world football".
The Chilean said: "He is a young player with outstanding ability, and I am sure the Manchester City fans will be very excited about seeing him in action for the team."
Manchester United
Manchester United have thrown down the gauntlet to their Premier League title rivals after making a dramatic double swoop for Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin on Monday (July 13).
United manager Louis van Gaal had made improving his team's midfield a key component of his transfer window strategy and the Dutchman can now cross that job off his to-do list after a frenetic 24 hours at Old Trafford.
German World Cup winner Schweinsteiger, who played under van Gaal for two years at Bayern Munich, agreed a three-year contract after United tied up a reported £14.4 million deal to sign him from the Bundesliga giants.
And France international Schneiderlin signed from Southampton for a fee in the region of £25 million after agreeing a four-year contract, with the option of a further one-year extension.
United's midfield duo are expected to jet out immediately to join their team-mates, including fellow new boys Memphis Depay and Matteo Darmian, for the club's pre-season tour of the United States.
Manchester United have also completed the signing of Italy right-back Matteo Darmian from Torino.
The 25-year-old defender arrived in England after a fee was agreed with the Serie A side, thought to be in the region of £12.7 million ($19.7 million, 17.7 million euros).
Stoke
Veteran Irish international goalkeeper Shay Given and rarely-used Chelsea Dutch midfielder Marco van Ginkel have joined mid-table English Premier League outfit Stoke .
Given, 39 and capped 129 times, joined on a free transfer from last season's FA Cup finalists Aston Villa while van Ginkel, 22, has signed a season long loan deal from the English champions.
England international fullback Glen Johnson became Stoke City manager Mark Hughes's sixth signing of the close season on Sunday joining on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old – capped 54 times and who played in both Euro 2012 and last year's World Cup finals – was a free agent after being released by Liverpool at the end of last season ending a six year spell there.
Johnson has signed a two-year deal with the option for a third year, and despite certain formalities surrounding the deal yet to be cleared up he has flown out to join Stoke in Singapore where they are taking part in a tournament.
"He (Johnson) will be a fantastic addition. He's a talented defender who also chips in with goals," said Hughes.
Defender Philipp Wollscheid, goalkeeper Jakob Haugaard and striker Joselu are the others to have arrived.
Sunderland
Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat has bolstered his side's defence when Welsh international rightback Adam Matthews completed a £2million ($3.1million) move from Scottish champions Celtic.
The 23-year-old – who follows Uruguayan international defender Sebastian Coates in joining the Black Cats this week – enjoyed a successful spell with Celtic winning four Premiership titles.
"We know that we need quality players to improve competition for places in the side, so Adam is a welcome addition to our squad and we are very pleased to welcome him to Sunderland," Advocaat told the Sunderland website.
Swansea City AFC
Swansea have signed Portugal striker Eder for an undisclosed fee, the English Premier League club has announced.
The 27-year-old will arrive at the Liberty Stadium on a three-year contract from Portuguese side Braga.
Eder scored 10 goals in 29 appearances last season as Braga finished in the top four of the Portuguese top-flight and also played in all three of Portugal's matches at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
He is the fourth player signed in pre-season by Swansea manager Garry Monk afterAndre Ayew, Franck Tabanou and Kristoffer Nordfeldt.
Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur have signed Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld from Atletico Madrid – setting up a potential legal battle with Premier League rivals Southampton.
The London club are reported to have paid 10.4 million pounds (14.5 million euros) for the 26-year-old international who made a reputation for himself during a one-year loan at Southampton.
Southampton had an option to buy Alderweireld but Atletico could pay £1.5 million to cancel that agreement. Southampton say the Spanish side did not do so on time and so they should have been allowed to sign the player Alderweireld.
But Tottenham said Alderweireld has signed a contract until 2020 and showed pictures of the player in a Spurs shirt on their website.
