At about 1pm yesterday, a raiding team seized and confiscated a total of three bamboo tables, and some 31 bamboo chairs from a site in Cherng Talay's Moo 2, in the area of Bangtao Beach.

Though no one present at the raid took ownership of the furniture – which was deemed as being used for private benefit or causing destruction to state forest land without permit – police arrested one suspect, named as Mr Chakrit Dechana, 28,  of Nakhon Sri Thammarat.

By 3pm, the suspect and all the seized furniture were taken to Cherng Talay Police Station for processing.
