Some 200 volunteers took part in a beach cleanup event on Racha Yai island last Friday as part of Earth Day activities.
Local operators, guides, students from Rajabat Phuket University and staff from several local organisations such as the Health Reef Club, Baan Raya Resort and Spa, Raya Dive Centre, TOT and Reef Management Co Ltd all took part, along with tourists both Thai and foreign.
The activity combined efforts to clean the beach both above and below the water.
