The raids yielded 2.25 grams of ya ice, 4 ya bah pills and drug paraphernalia.
In the first incident, in a rented room in Soi Anamaion Prabaramee Rd, Kathu police, led by Lt Col Suthichai Tienpo, arrested Pichet Hogking, 29, Korawan Khantawee, 34, and Somwang Ritprasard, 35, in possession of 1.35 grams of ya ice, four ya bah pills and paraphernalia used for consuming drugs.
Following the arrest of the three, police then went on to search another rented room in the same soi and arrested two more ladyboys, Anoma Singkhow, 24, and Rattika Porsing, 21, with .90 grams of ya ice and drug paraphernalia.
All five were taken to Kathu police station for questioning, and face being charged with possession of Category 1 drugs.
