Pol Lt-Gen Prawuth Thavornsiri, assistant national police chief and spokesman of the National Police Office, said Wednesday that the 200,000 baht bounty were contributions from Good Samaritans who wanted to help the police nail the culprit.
He disclosed that DNA tests of specimens taken from the 10th victim, a middle-aged woman raped in her house in NakhonChaisri district of NakhonPathom on January 25 matched with nine previous tests of specimens taken from the victims.
This confirmed that all the ten rape cases were committed by the same man. Two of the victims were killed.
