The fashion-themed event will kick off at 9pm, and will see Phuket’s glitterati take to the dance floor at Xana to hear one of Healy’s legendary and flamboyant sets.
A DJ and producer, Healy, has performed headline DJ sets in almost every country in the world and has been the event music director for some of the most prestigious fashion brands – from Christian Dior to Emilio Pucci and Hillfiger. He has also worked with the biggest international artists including Mary J Blige, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Rihanna, Sting, Usher and Maroon 5.
Entry to the event is free, and the dress code for the night is ‘catwalk glam’. Those dress up on the night will receive a 2-for-1 coupon, and a bottle of bubbly will also be given to the best dressed.
The event follows Healy’s spectacular New Year’s performance, which saw a thousand party-goers take to the Bangtao beach, to see the New Year in Phuket style.
Q&A with Jeremy Healy
What's in store for your set?
Funky, melodic bass-driven house music.
You've been to Phuket a few times now, what do you like about it?
It’s such a fun place to visit. I have good friends here, the food is great, and the clubs are fun.
Are you playing any more places in Asia?
Singapore for Attica 10th anniversary!
What's the best gig you've ever played?
Definitely on a yacht, there’s nothing quite as groovy. Big dance floor, open sea, moonlight. Sol Kerzner’s birthday also springs to mind, Quincy Jones was there – my all time hero! I was bricking myself before I went on.
Mick Jagger’s 50th was also amazing. It was on Bastille day, and held in the Opera House in Paris with everyone in French Revolution fancy dress – to be let loose there was definitely a moment!
Any music you're following at the moment?
There’s a big revival of 90s house music going on at the moment in England, as the next generation of music lovers are being turned on to it by groups like Disclosure.
What's next for you?
After this trip it’s back to the Mediterranean for the beautiful summer, Ibiza of course, and I’m gagging to see Croatia. I’ve heard it’s the new Ibiza, but I’ve heard that one before...
