Wyndham has launched its Days Inn brand in Thailand with the rebranded Aloha Villa Phuket in Patong.

Days Inn Patong Beach Phuket, a 122-room hotel, is a franchise agreement with developer Roberts Phuket LLC, while KosMopolitan Hospitality has taken on the management of the hotel.

Wyndham’s collaboration with KosMopolitan will continue with several new-builds and conversions expected to take place within the next couple of years, including Wyndham Legend Halong in Vietnam, announced Wyndham this week.

Barry Robinson, President and Managing Director of Wyndham Hotel Group South East Asia and Pacific Rim noted: “Phuket is a major beach resort in Thailand and attracts millions of visitors annually. This is a timely opportunity for us to expand our offerings, with the country hitting a ground-breaking record of 29.99 million tourist arrivals in 2015, which is a phenomenal increase of 20 per cent from 2014.

“The KosMopolitan group is a key partner in our joint efforts to expand our portfolio of hotels in emerging markets throughout Southeast Asia. Their team’s expertise in managing and developing successful hotels and resorts is proven and well-respected in South East Asia. We share similar goals and our interests are aligned,” he added.

The former Aloha Villa Phuket was rebranded to Days Inn Patong Beach after a facelift and has unveiled a refreshed and modern concept.

Set in the heart of Phuket’s entertainment district, the economy hotel consists of 36 double rooms, 80 twin rooms and six triple rooms, all comfortably furnished with mini bars and satellite televisions. The hotel also includes two restaurants, a rooftop pool and an Internet centre.

Glenn de Souza, CEO of Kosmopolitan Hospitality added, “Days Inn is an esteemed brand with a wonderful concept that will appeal to budget conscious travellers with its great value. Wyndham Hotel Group’s Count On Me! service is one of its distinctive factors and we are confident of delivering the highest level of service excellence to our customers.”
