As well as swimmers representing Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore and Western Australia, there were also three local teams lining up on the diving blocks.
The host team, Silverfinz, who train at TSLC, led the competition and came away with the ‘Top Team’ award after 12 swimmers also picked up individual High Point awards for their respective age groups.
The results placed them above local swim teams from the British International School (BIS) and the ‘Phuket Andaman Swim Club’, who finished in joint third place behind the Hong Kong Island Stingrays in second.
As well as the Stingrays, this year’s event also included the Hong Kong National Swim Team, with both teams in Phuket to train for 8-10 days at Thanyapura in the lead up to their Olympic Trials in Hong Kong this weekend.
The visitors boasted two World Cup Gold Medalists in addition to swimmers who had represented Hong Kong at the World Championships, Asian Games and Southeast Asian Games.
