Where can we watch planes take off and land at Phuket Airport?

Where can I take my five-year-old daughter to watch planes take off and land at Phuket International Airport? She has recently taken up a fascination with large airplanes, as we often see them in the sky passing over our house. I certainly understand this, as I too was fascinated by large aircraft when I was her age.

Is there any way I can legally and safely provide the same exhiliaratng experience for my own child? Or is this forbidden by officials, despite the constant loud-mouthing by national-level politicians that Phuket will "welcome" millions more visitors this year?

Right now, we do not have any specific space or area set aside inside the airport where people who are not passengers can watch planes take off or land. However, people can watch planes arriving and departing from the safety of Naiyang Beach. It’s a beautiful view, especially when planes come in to land.
