There will be a 60-70 per cent chance of rain in Phuket from September 5-9. The probability lessens somewhat to 40-60 per cent from Sept 10-11.
The rain will fall hardest in Ranong, Krabi and Phuket province, while the areas of Ka-per in Ranong Province and Koh Yao, Koh Lanta, Takua-Pa of Phang-nga will experience slightly less rain rainfall.
High winds will cause Phuket waves to rise to between 2-3 metres. The TMD has advised small boats to remain in port along the entire Andman Coast.
