Mr Skepper grew up on a wealthy farm in Suffolk, on the east coast of England and followed his father into the asset management business.
In 1991 he moved to Hong Kong, working with UK-based pension funds before setting up his own IT company in 1996, writing software for the finance industry.
Like many expatriates in Hong Kong, Mr Skepper visited Phuket and in 2001 moved to the island where he set up Asia Marketing, best known for its slick and highly capable website work and for devising company logos.
Four years ago Mr Skepper was diagnosed with a brain tumour. He died at the family home in England on February 16.
Mr Skepper’s funeral is to take place in England on Friday (March 1).
