Kathu District Police Superintendent Col Jirapat Pochanaphan said, “We now know the names of three suspects.”

He named them as Wanchit “DJB” Sonsaree, accused of firing the bullet that wounded Mr Worawut in the shoulder, of possession of an unlicensed weapon, and of possession of a firearm in a public place; and two women, Tukkata Saleekup, and Moe Than Daroo from Myanmar, wanted on charges of conspiracy.

Col Jirapat said, “We are looking for them, though they may already had fled Phuket.”

Mr Worrawut is recovering from his wound in Bangkok Hospital Phuket. His family have offered a reward of B200,000 for information leading to DJB’s arrest.
