The partnership marks a long-term commitment to expand the scale and international reach of Thailand’s flagship boat show, with plans for Phuket Yacht Haven Marina — the island’s largest marina — to serve as the event’s future home.
With more than 330 berths and the capacity to accommodate superyachts of up to 100 metres, the marina is expected to support an increase in both the size and number of vessels on display. The marina is also advancing upgrades to its onshore facilities, including expanded lifestyle amenities, dining options and enhancements to its visitor spaces, in line with organisers’ plans to deliver a more immersive experience.
“This is a strategic investment in the future of the show and the industry,” said David Hayes, CEO of JAND Events, which organises the Thailand International Boat Show.
“We’re seeing strong positive momentum in Thailand, including recent progress around the superyacht licence, which signals the country’s growing commitment to marine tourism. The opportunity now is to translate that into a broader, more inclusive industry platform,” he said.
For Phuket Yacht Haven Marina, the deal reflects ambitions to play a larger role in shaping Thailand’s yachting sector, with a focus not only on infrastructure but also on service and hospitality.
“This partnership is about raising the standard of what a marina and boat show experience can be in Thailand,” Juraibon Phataraprasit said.
“Our continued development — particularly onshore — is focused on enhancing the overall experience for yacht owners, guests and visitors. Together with the Thailand International Boat Show, we are working towards creating a world-class platform that reflects Thailand’s potential on the global stage,” she added.
The fifth Thailand International Boat Show A Luxury Lifestyle Event is scheduled to take place from Jan 14–17, 2027 at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina, preceded by the Thailand Yachting Conference on Jan 13, 2027 at The Slate, Nai Yang Beach.
