Thailand Elite relaunch at boat exhibition

Thailand Privilege Card, previously known as Thailand Elite headlined as presenting sponsor at Pimex at the luxury Royal Phuket Marina from January 8-11, re-inventing itself as an exclusive club.

Friday 16 January 2015, 03:00PM

The Phuket News went down to the exhibition and interviewed president of the club Apisit Chuenchompoo, who has been in his role for over a year. He says the purpose of the company is to provide and serve the high-end market as well as lifestyle consumers.

Its main goal is to provide the finest that Thailand has to offer into one unique package for honoured guests.

Mr Apisit said, “I want to invite everyone to spend and enjoy themselves in Thailand.”

One of the most popular privileges offered to foreign visitors who join the club are the visa privileges. With the help from a group of highly-trained service personnel, they will take care of all your entry visas, renewals along with an extended stay privilege that money alone cannot buy.

The new launch is now more available to others, rather than just to lifetime members only. Regular clients and members may go online themselves and check what discounts are available.

“More than 300 businesses offer the discount, including a number of shops, restaurants, cinemas, hotels, spas, hiring the Mjet (private jet which can also fly internationally), as well as renting/hiring boats,” Mr Apisit said.

“We want to encourage expats, locals, investors, tourists, members of educational institutes, lifestyle consumers as well as celebrities and superstars, to stay long-term in Thailand.

“We believe the member card will be a beneficial and appealing aspect of residing in Thailand.”
As part of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, this club has access to treatments such as special privileges at golf courses and medical facilities throughout the Kingdom.

“Thailand Elite allows you to live like the Thai/locals, in the sense that it opens up doors for you and offers you an exclusive invitation into the delights of Thailand. It is the first government card in the world, so if you have a membership here, then it means you are truly a member of Thailand.

“It has grown to be so beautiful and serves all the members and their individual needs. Having a membership means you are a socialite of the high-end market of the world, we hope and expect more people to apply each month.

“At least 20 to 30 new people continue to apply every month.”

Mr Apisit says advertising and promoting is is crucial to informing other people about the club.
Indeed the exclusive club may not be for everyone. But, Mr Apisit explains, “I just tell the truth of the product to everyone.”
