Phuket: Thailand destroys Myanmar in 8-1 win

In front of over 10,000 fans – many of whom seemed to be cheering more for the visiting Myanmar team – the Thai team showcased their scoring prowess early and often.

Chanathip Songkrasin, the 20-year-old Thai phenom, scored a goal, assisted in two others and won “Man of the Match” honours.

The Thai team, which is made up of almost the entire U-23 squad with the exception of two players and led by Head Coach Kiatisak “Zico” Senamuang, will again hit the field this Wednesday (September 3) against Phuket FC at Surakul Stadium. Kick off set for 6:30pm.

The final warm-up match will take place on Sunday (September 7) against Qatar, also at Surakul Stadium at 6:30pm.

Tickets for both matches are B200 and available at the stadium box office.
