Services between Bangkok and Phuket, and Chiang Mai and Phuket will follow on September 16.

Fares will not be as low as the country’s budget airlines.

For example, the daily Phuket flight, which will leave Bangkok at 15:30 and return at 17:25, will start at B5,240. Nok Air sells Phuket from B2,980, while Thai AirAsia sells at B3,400.

All fares quoted are all-inclusive. Flights can be booked at the website, thaismileair.com
