A photo, which was released last week, shows the pair – dubbed Nak-Ung (meaning 'heavy') and Bao-Wiw (meaning 'light') – staring at the camera while in a small blanket.

Dr Mongkol Techakumph, Chulalongkorn's Vice President of Research and Innovation, said that researchers are trying to conserve the four remaining species of endangered Siamese cat.

Thirteen are already extinct.
